Brentford striker Lasse Vibe will miss Saturday’s home game against Barnsley, but could be fit for next week’s west London derby against QPR.
Vibe is recovering well from the ankle injury he sustained against Wigan Athletic earlier this month.
It was initially thought the Dane would be out until after the next international break, but could be available for the trip to Loftus Road next Friday.
Harlee Dean is back from suspension, but Bees boss Dean Smith suggested the captain’s return was not a given, following the clean sheet in his absence at Derby.
Barnsley will be without full-backs Saidy Janko and Aidy White.
However, fellow defenders James Bree and Marc Roberts, as well as central midfielder Conor Hourihane, have been passed fit.
A victory for Brentford could take them back into the Championship play-off places.
Dean Smith’s side are currently ninth in the table, two points behind sixth-placed Sheffield Wednesday, who are at home to QPR this weekend.
Brentford are unbeaten at home this season and their wins at Griffin Park include a 5-0 thrashing of Preston and a 4-1 victory against Reading.
Barnsley are 15th in the table, have lost their last three matches, and are without a win in six.
