Aston Villa, this week linked with a move for Brentford striker Scott Hogan, are also preparing a bid for his team-mate Alan Judge, according to a Guardian journalist.
Ed Aarons posted on Twitter that Villa would offer £500,000 for Irish playmaker Judge, whose contract expires in the summer.
The Republic of Ireland international, currently recuperating from a broken leg, previously discussed a move to Newcastle, who are believed to be keen to sign him when he is fit again.

Meanwhile, Brentford have once again been linked with Watford striker Jerome Sinclair.
The Daily Mail suggests the Bees have made the 20-year-old their prime target, if Hogan ends up being sold.
Sinclair was touted for a move to Griffin Park before the Hornets signed him from Liverpool during the summer.
And Mark Warburton has made a personal visit to try and persuade Brentford winger Jota to join Glasgow Rangers, the Daily Record say.
Jota is currently on loan at Spanish club Eibar but is reportedly a January transfer target for Warburton, who signed him when he was manager at Brentford.
