Arsene Wenger has dismissed suggestions that falling crowds at Arsenal games are a concern.
It follows reports that the Gunners hierarchy are alarmed at the number of empty seats at the Emirates Stadium and that this will be a factor in deciding whether Wenger is kept on as manager beyond the end of the season.
However, speaking at a press conference on Thursday morning, Wenger insisted there is no sign of fans staying away.
“No, it’s not a big concern. Our crowd is very solid at the moment,” Wenger said.
“We have played on some special days, we’re not going for the league, but we have faithful fans who will always be there.
“When you look at renewal (of season tickets) numbers of the club they are absolutely outstanding.
“We are sold out in every single game so I don’t know where the problem is.
“If you look at our numbers and how much people want tickets for next season I don’t believe we have a major problem.”
Wenger also played down ongoing speculation over his future.
He said: “My personal situation is not so much my worry at the moment. My worry is to transform the season into a success.”
When asked if he will make his own mind up on his future, Wenger added: “That doesn’t really matter.”
