Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was left frustrated after a controversial decision cost his side victory at West Brom.

The home side snatched a point courtesy of Jay Rodriguez’s late penalty after referee Mike Dean penalised Calum Chambers for a handball.

“We believe we fought hard to win the game, but didn’t because of a bad decision,” said Wenger.

“[Dean] didn’t see it. There was a player in front of him. That’s why I questioned his decision – he didn’t see it.”

West Brom boss Alan Pardew admitted: “If I was the opposing manager then I might not have thought it was a penalty.”
