Arsenal have made no progress in contract talks with Aaron Ramsey, according to The Sun.

There has been speculation over the future of the Gunners midfielder, who has a year left on his current deal.

The Sun say Ramsey wants a significant pay rise and could leave the Emirates Stadium if he is not offered a vastly improved deal. Chelsea and Manchester United are said to be interested in him.

The newspaper quotes ‘a source’ as saying: “Arsenal need to make their move soon and are being slow to the punch as usual.

“They could lose another one of their top stars if they are not careful. It’s a very delicate situation.”

Meanwhile, Ruben Loftus-Cheek will hold talks with Chelsea this week and could ask to move on loan, again according to The Sun.

In what it labels “showdown talks”, The Sun say Loftus-Cheek will ask boss Maurizio Sarri to loan him out if he is not going to play regularly at Stamford Bridge.

It comes after Loftus-Cheek, who spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace, was overlooked for Chelsea’s first matches of the season.

The transfer window in England is closed but it remains open in other parts of Europe until the end of the month, meaning Premier League players can still join clubs on the Continent before then.

And the Daily Mail reports that Alvaro Morata never considered leaving Chelsea despite being linked with a move this summer.

“There was never a thought for me to leave,” the striker said.

“For me, it’s easy. I could have gone back to Spain or Italy, all the people believe in me there but I want to change all the things here.

“I want to, not for all the haters, but for me and for Chelsea.”
