Impressive Arsenal youngsters enjoy win over 10-man Tottenham

Arsenal’s development side beat Tottenham 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Friday evening.

Joe Willock and Tyreece John-Jules scored for the hosts and Spurs had Troy Parrott sent off before pulling a goal back late on through Jaden Brown.

Willock opened the scoring after just three minutes, finishing well after being found by James Olayinka’s cross.

John-Jules hammered home Arsenal’s second goal and they were denied a third by keeper Brandon Austin saving Charlie Gilmour’s penalty after Japhet Tanganga was adjudged to have fouled Tolaji Bola.

Spurs’ task got even harder when an angry melee ended with Parrott being red-carded.

But the visitors rallied late on and scored in injury time when Brown netted after being set up by Shayon Harrison.
