‘God help Arsenal’ – Roy Keane slates both Gunners and Fulham after derby draw

Roy Keane pulled no punches in his assessment of Arsenal’s performance in their 1-1 draw with Fulham at the Emirates Stadium.

Eddie Nketiah scored six minutes into injury time to rescue a point for the Gunners after Josh Maja had opened the scoring for Scott Parker’s side with a penalty.

The late equaliser denied Fulham a first-ever win at Arsenal – and denied them points they desperately needed in their battle to stay in the Premier League.

Former Manchester United star Keane was unimpressed by what he saw from both teams in a poor London derby.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Keane said: “I don’t know if Fulham deserved much more than that. I thought Fulham were poor.

“I know they’re fighting for their lives – but the lack of quality from both teams. I thought it was dreadful.

“Arsenal were even worse. Arsenal; God help Arsenal going forward. I thought they were shocking. Dreadful. No quality.

“They got a bit lucky at the end. Arsenal. My goodness.”

Maja lifted his spot-kick into the roof of the net after Gabriel had brought down Mario Lemina.

But Arsenal levelled when Nketiah was on hand to tap in the rebound after keeper Alphonso Areola had parried Grant Xhaka’s shot.
