Paper round-up: Emery wants at least three players but has ‘shockingly small’ budget

Arsenal manager Unai Emery will again be working to a tight budget this summer, according to reports.

The Daily Mirror say Emery will have £40m to spend, with the newspaper describing it as a “shockingly small” budget.

The Daily Mail say he will have £45m to spend and that the Gunners boss wants at least three players, including a left-back.

Meanwhile, The Sun reports that Tottenham striker Harry Kane is on course to return from injury up to a month earlier than expected.

The Times reports that Tottenham are set to announce that next month’s north London derby against Arsenal will be at Wembley and that there are fears Spurs’ new stadium will not be ready this season.

There continues to be speculation over the future of Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi and how much Bayern Munich might offer for him this summer.

The Daily Mail say Bayern will return with a bid of £35m for Hudson-Odoi, while the Daily Mirror reports that Chelsea remain determined to keep him.

And The Sun reports that Andre Schurrle’s two-year loan at Fulham from Borussia Dortmund will be terminated if the Whites are relegated from the Premier League.

It comes after the former Chelsea man told German magazine Kicker: “Looking at my abilities and previous career, it is not my ambition to be fighting against relegation in England.

“My loan spell would come to an end if Fulham go down, and my Dortmund contract would become active once more.”
