Celebrations as Arsenal are crowned Premier League champions

Arsenal have won the Premier League title for the first time in 22 years after rivals Manchester City failed to win at Bournemouth.

The Gunners now hold an unassailable four-point lead at the top of the table heading into the final weekend of the season, sparking scenes of wild celebration across north London.

Manchester City needed a victory at the Vitality Stadium to keep the title race alive until Sunday.

However, they were held to a 1-1 draw by Bournemouth. Eli Junior Kroupi opened the scoring for the hosts, and while City striker Erling Haaland managed a late equaliser, it was not enough to deny Arsenal the trophy.

The result confirms Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has successfully guided his team to the club’s first league crown since the famous ‘Invincibles’ campaign of 2003-04 under Arsene Wenger.

Wenger himself was quick to congratulate the newly crowned champions, releasing a video message via the club’s social media channels.

“You did it. Champions go on when others stop,” Wenger said. “This is your time. Now, go on and enjoy every moment.”

Arsenal will wrap up their historic campaign on Sunday with a trip to face Crystal Palace, where they will finally lift the Premier League trophy.
