Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has been installed as the favourite to be the next Arsenal manager in the wake of the Champions League debacle against Bayern Munich.
The Gunners’ 5-1 defeat in Germany has increased speculation over the future of Arsene Wenger, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
BetVictor make Howe the 4/1 frontrunner to succeed Wenger as Arsenal manager, while Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri, who has also been linked with the job, is priced at 9/2.
Former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira is 12/1 with BetVictor to take over, while Ladbrokes have Allegri as their 4/1 favourite with Howe 9/2.
BetVictor are also offering odds of 25/1 on Arsenal reaching the next round and 150/1 on them winning the Champions League following their embarrassing loss to Bayern.
And the odds on Wenger being the next Premier League manager to leave his post have also been slashed – from 25/1 to 8/1.
BetVictor spokesman Jack Milner said: “Arsene Wenger’s contract expires in the summer and with rumours circulating that it will be his last season with the Gunners, BetVictor make Eddie Howe the 4/1 favourite to replace him as Arsenal’s next permanent manager – irrespective of the timescale.”
Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund’s Thomas Tutchel has been cut from 25/1 to 10/1 by BetVictor to succeed Wenger at the Emirates Stadium.
Leonardo Jardim and Diego Simeone are both currently 14/1, with former Germany boss Joachim Low 16/1.
