Arsenal Women star scores her 50th goal in victory over Liverpool

Jordan Nobbs claimed her 50th Arsenal goal as the Gunners defeated Liverpool 3-0 to reclaim third place in the Women’s Super League.

After a goalless first half, Republic of Ireland international Katie McCabe put the hosts in front with a fierce left-footed effort that flew into the top corner from the edge of the area.

The second was hot on the heels, England midfielder Nobbs racing into the penalty area to tap home Emma Mitchell’s superb left-wing cross and bring up her landmark.

Nobbs was credited with the third goal too after her testing corner was fumbled by Siobhan Chamberlain, allowing the ball to creep over the line.

The result saw Arsenal go three points above Reading, who have played one game more.
