Arsenal to get second chance to sign Brazilian pair

Arsenal could be handed a second chance to sign Brazilian duo Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo as Real Madrid consider letting them go.

El Confidencial, claim Madrid are ready to listen to offers with the duo still to convince head coach Zinedine Zidane and club president Florentino Perez their futures belong at the Bernabeu.

The website says Vinicius was a favourite of Perez’s before irregular performances eroded that faith and that Zidane also has doubts, while the player does not feel ‘supported’ by either coach or club.

Arsenal were said to be the first Premier League club to make an enquiry for Vinicius, which sparked interest from Manchester United and Tottenham.

They were given a firm denial, but Madrid are now believed to be open to a loan or sale.

Rodrygo is more to Zidane’s liking, but is struggling to claim a regular first-team spot, prompting Real to consider a loan deal and allow the player regular playing time and a chance to develop.

El Confidencial say Arsenal were ‘interested in his future’ last summer and ‘wanted to enlist him’.

Again their moves were rebutted, but like with Vinicius, the situation has changed, and Madrid are not ruling out either’s departure.
