Paper round-up: Arsenal set to beat Man Utd to signing of Belgium star

Arsenal are on course to beat Manchester United to the signing of Belgium forward Yannick Carrasco, according to reports.

The 25-year-old has been tipped to leave Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang, who signed him from Atletico Madrid in February last year.

He was linked with Chelsea prior to that move and is now expected to move to the Premier League.

Manchester United have been linked with Carrasco, as have AC Milan, but the Daily Mirror reports that Arsenal are favourites to snap him up.

There are apparently doubts over whether Milan would be in a position to meet the wage demands of Carrasco, who reportedly earns around £170,000-a-week in China.

Gunners boss Unai Emery had previously suggested January signings were unlikely but he is now seeking to bring someone in following the injury to Danny Welbeck.

The Mirror also reports that Juventus are expecting to sign Aaron Ramsey when his Arsenal contract expires in the summer.

Ramsey is now free to hold talks with foreign clubs and has reportedly been offered a package worth £45m by Juve.

And The Sun say Henrikh Mkhitaryan could leave Arsenal if Denis Suarez arrives from Barcelona.

A deal to bring in Spain midfielder Suarez is believed to be close.
