Arsenal reportedly offer Sanchez huge deal in order to keep striker

Arsenal have reportedly offered to make Alexis Sanchez the highest-paid player in the Premier League.

The Evening Standard say Sanchez has been offered £300,000 a week in order to stay at the Emirates Stadium.

The Chilean’s current deal expires in 2018 and there has been speculation that he could be sold this summer.

The likes of Chelsea and Manchester City have been linked with Sanchez, whose current wages are reported to be £130,000 a week.

Speculation also continues over the future of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, whose future remains unclear.

The Sun claim Arsenal are in talks Max Allegri about the possibility of the Juventus boss taking over this summer.

Meanwhile, Sporting Gijon’s Jorge Mere is the latest central defender to be linked with Chelsea.

Valencia are also said to be keen on Mere, 19, who reportedly as a £25m release clause in his contract.

And Chelsea have failed with a £51m bid for Torino’s Italy striker Andrea Belotti, it is claimed.

The Mirror have picked up on Italian sports daily Tuttosport claiming that the Blues were knocked back after making an approach.

Belotti reportedly has an £85m buyout clause in his contract and Torino are said to be demanding that amount.
