Arsenal are keen on Brazilian youngster Maycon, The Sun claim.
The highly-rated Corinthians midfielder, 20, is apparently rated at around £9m and the Gunners are said to have been watching him for some time. Italian club Napoli are also reported to be interested in him.
Corinthians would insist he returns to them on loan as part of any deal, The Sun say.
The newspaper quotes ‘a source’ as saying: “Arsenal are very interested in Maycon. He has been watched a fair amount for more than a year.
“They have been impressed and he has a promising future. He is not really a player for now.
“There could be issues with getting him a visa. It would take a lot of work behind the scenes to get sorted.
“Arsenal have other priorities, so it could be one that happens in the summer, rather than now.”
Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund reportedly see Michy Batshuayi as a potential replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang if the striker leaves the German club to join Arsenal.
The Guardian say Dortmund, who are expected to sell Aubameyang to the Gunners, are interested in Batshuayi, who is also wanted by Sevilla.
It comes after Chelsea boss Antonio Conte confirmed that Batshuayi would be allowed to leave on loan if the Blues sign another striker.
