Arsenal legend Thierry Henry criticised Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata’s after the Spanish forward missed several glorious chances in the 2-2 draw between the sides at the Emirates Stadium.

Morata had wonderful one-one-one opportunities in either half, the first with the score at 0-0 and the second in injury time.

He also wasted two other decent openings to wrap up the victory before Arsenal levelled the scores in stoppage-time through Hector Bellerin’s equaliser.

Speaking on Sky Sports, former Gunners star Henry said: “I have to mention Morata and the chances he had – especially last one. He had all the time in the world to bring the ball down, take a touch and finish.

“He had some great chances to put that game to bed at the beginning, and the end, and he didn’t.”

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte defended Morata and predicted that he will rediscover his scoring touch.

Speaking at his post-match press conference, Conte said: “It is not a lucky period for him.

“He had chances to score, but this is football. I’m very happy for his commitment and the commitment of
all my players.

“Of course it is important to score because when you score your confidence is up and otherwise it is down. But he is young and needs to continue to work.
