Adam Smith has appeared to rule out a return to Tottenham from Bournemouth, the Daily Mirror reports.
It comes amid speculation that Smith, who left Spurs to join the Cherries three years ago, could be signed as a replacement for Kyle Walker.
Smith made one first-team appearance for Tottenham and has impressed for Bournemouth in the top flight.
“Transfer talk is part of football and speculation builds at the end of every season,” he said.
“It is always nice to be talked about in a positive way, because it means you are doing something right. I would rather that than be getting bad press.
“But I am a Bournemouth player and planning to have a nice holiday and then come back here next season.
“To finish where we did last season was a great achievement for the lads, the staff and the whole club. Hopefully we can stay together and try and have an even better season.”
Meanwhile, Tottenham are among Premier League clubs interested in Bolton Wanderers youngster Max Broughton, the Mail say.
Manchester United, Everton and Southampton are also said to be keen on the 16-year-old midfielder.
He is reported to have attracted the attention of top-flight clubs with his performances for Bolton’s Under-18s this season.
