Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Liverpool centre-back Mamadou Sakho.
The Frenchman will spend the rest of the season on loan at Selhurst Park, with Palace paying a £2m loan fee and covering his wages.
The Daily Mail say an earlier bid of £12m, plus £3m in add-ons, was rejected, with Liverpool reportedly holding out for £20m.
Palace are still hoping to sign Everton forward Arouna Kone, also on loan until the end of the season, when his contract at Goodison Park is due to expire.
Earlier on transfer deadline day, Serbian midfielder Luka Milivojevic moved to Palace from Olympiacos for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old, capped 19 times for his country, signed a three-and-a-half year deal.
One deal that is definitely off is Andros Townsend’s proposed move to Newcastle.
The Palace winger was named on the bench for their win at Bournemouth after the two sides failed to come to an agreement over a loan move.
