England v USA player ratings: How the London contingent fared

England played out a disappointing 0-0 draw with USA in their World Cup clash. Here’s how we rated the London contingent.

England

Declan Rice: 5

The West Ham man had a tough night alongside Jude Bellingham in midfield, where England were overrun for large parts of the game.

Mason Mount: 5

Did nothing to win over his doubters. Worked hard off the ball but made no impact at all in terms of creativity.

Bukayo Saka: 5

Also failed to make an impact before being taken off. The Arsenal youngster tried almost too hard to make things happen on a hugely frustrating night for him.

Raheem Sterling: 5

Taken off in the second half and, like his Chelsea team-mate Mount, he offered very little.

Harry Kane: 6

The Tottenham striker’s link-up play was as sound as always but there was nothing for him in terms of goalscoring opportunities.

USA

Tim Ream: 7

Very solid on the left of the States defence.

Antonee Robinson: 8

Had an excellent game. Combined really well with his Fulham team-mate Ream and was always a threat on the flank.

Christian Pulisic: 7

Outshone his Chelsea colleagues on the England side. Pulisic was at the centre of much of America’s best attacking play and hit the bar with a cracking strike in the first half.
