Thomas Tuchel has appeared to rule out Chelsea making new signings during the approaching transfer window.
The club have been linked with several players in recent weeks.
But with the likes of N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic coming back from injury, Tuchel has suggested that bringing in reinforcements is not a priority at the moment.
He was asked at a press conference on Wednesday whether a potential signing not being vaccinated against Covid-19 would put Chelsea off.
The Blues boss answered that it would not, but he also added: “Anyway we are not in talks right now about bringing in players, because first of all we trust our squad and hope that we can bring all players back and be at full strength.
“We have a strong squad and a good atmosphere to protect. This is where we are right now.”
Tuchel also confirmed that Kante, out since last month’s Champions League thrashing of Juventus, is back in the Chelsea squad after injury and will be among the substitutes for the match against Everton at Stamford Bridge this evening.
Kovacic’s isolation after recently contracting Covid-19 ends in a couple of days so the Croatian midfielder should also be available again soon.
