Spartak Mosow keen to sign Moses on loan

Spartak Moscow have reportedly turned their attention to Victor Moses after previously showing an interest in Tottenham defender Serge Aurier.

The Mail reports that the Russian club are looking to take Moses, 29, on loan from Chelsea, having previously asked about Aurier.

Moses was part of Chelsea’s Premier League-winning squad of 2017 under Antonio Conte but has since fallen out of favour and is not in current boss Frank Lampard’s plans.

He ended last season on loan at Inter Milan under Conte and had hoped for a permanent move to the Italian side but the deal did not go through.

He could now be heading to Moscow, with Spartak and Chelsea said to be in talks over a potential loan deal.

A number of clubs have since enquired about him and Moscow could be his next destination.

Meanwhile, Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud – whose own first-team prospects look limited – has told French radio station RMC that he could eventually end up playing in the USA.

“For the future we will see what happens. I will decide by evaluating the opportunities I will have,” he said.

“I’m not ruling out anything, but for now I don’t see me returning to Ligue 1.

“I’d like to play at the highest level in Europe for another two or three years, then maybe I’ll go to the United States.”
