Willian says he wants to stay in the Premier League – potentially paving the way for a move to Tottenham or Arsenal.
Both north London clubs have been linked with the Brazilian, whose Chelsea contract expires this summer.
Willian had been discussing a new deal at Stamford Bridge but his future – like other players whose contracts are coming to an end – remains up in the air because of the coronavirus outbreak.
Willian, who famously backed out of a move to Spurs in order to join Chelsea, was recently allowed to return to his native Brazil to be with his family after the Blues agreed to give him a leave of absence.
Contract talks are on hold, matches have been suspended and clubs are not operating as they usually would during a period of great uncertainty.
But one thing Willian is certain of is that he wants to continue playing in England.
Barcelona are among various European clubs to have been linked with him but Willian is keen to stay at Chelsea or move elsewhere in the Premier League.
He told ESPN: “My desire is to stay in the Premier League, but I don’t rule out playing in other leagues. I’m going to play until the end of the season and see what happens.”
