Ilias Chair has reportedly agreed a new deal.
West London Sport reported in July that QPR were looking to extend the contracts of Chair and Bright Osayi-Samuel – and that Chair was likely to sign a three-year deal later in the summer.
And Talksport now say midfielder Chair is set to put pen to paper while talks are also taking place with Osayi-Samuel, whose contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
According to West London Sport’s report in July, QPR have an option to extend Osayi-Samuel’s deal by a year, meaning he is effectively under contract until 2021, but are nevertheless keen to cement the winger’s future at the club.
Chair impressed on loan at Stevenage last season and has made the most of the chance given to him by Rangers boss Mark Warburton.
News of his contract extension will delight fans, who have taken to the Morocco Under-21 international in a big way.
And he is clearly enjoying life under Warburton, who rates the youngster highly.
“The manager gives me and the team confidence. He is really trying to give everyone the confidence and make us believe that we can do well,” Chair recently told the club’s website.
“We are all buying into his ideas and most of the time we are feeling confident, which is the most important thing.”
