Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly interested in signing Napoli right-back Elseid Hysaj.
The Albanian international was previously linked with Chelsea, having played at Napoli under Maurizio Sarri.
Sarri’s departure from Chelsea seemingly ended the prospect of Hysaj moving to the Premier League this year.
But the Sunday Express say Pochettino is ready to pursue him and compete with Roma and Juventus, who have also been linked with the player.
Pochettino is currently short of options at right-back, with Juan Foyth injured and Kieran Trippier having recently been sold to Atletico Madrid.
Foyth suffered an ankle injury in a pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich last week and is set to miss the start of the new Premier League campaign.
Napoli are said to be demanding around £20million for Hysaj, who can also operate at left-back.
Meanwhile, reports continue to suggest that Tottenham will seal a deal to sign Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline.
The Daily Star Sunday say Sessegnon is set to move to north London for around £25m.
Sessegnon, who has a year remaining on his contract and will not sign a new deal, has been touted as a possible replacement for Danny Rose at Spurs.
