Eden Hazard recently spoke about his future because he was trying to push through a move to Real Madrid, according to the Daily Express.
Hazard said after Chelsea’s final Premier League game against Leicester City on Sunday that he had made a decision on his future and made the club aware of it weeks ago.
And the Express suggest this came as a result of Hazard being frustrated that a deal has not yet been agreed for him to move to Real.
The Belgian’s contract expires next year and Chelsea face the prospect of then losing him for no fee unless they agree a deal for him to go.
Reports in Spain suggest Real are offering around £80m for the Belgian star and that Chelsea want at least £100m.
And the Express say a deal is no closer despite negotiations, which prompted Hazard to make his comments.
When asked if he had made a decision on his future, Hazard said: “Yes. A couple of weeks ago. I have made my decision – but it is not just about me.”
Meanwhile, The Sun are reporting that the transfer ban imposed on Chelsea by FIFA means the club could refuse to sell him.
