Arsenal are being linked with a move for Roma defender Kostas Manolas.
The Daily Mirror say Manchester United – who apparently also want Manolas – or Arsenal could be able to land him for a knockdown price.
It follows reports in Italy that a release clause could lead to the Greece international moving on if Roma fail to qualify for the Champions League.
Calciomercato say he can go for £31million if Roma do not finish in Italy’s top four.
They are currently in fifth place in Serie A, four points behind fourth-placed AC Milan, and recently sacked boss Eusebio di Francesco.
Claudio Ranieri, who recently took over at Roma, has suggested that their best players will leave if they miss out on the Champions League.
Meanwhile, the Daily Express say Arsenal’s hopes of landing Adrien Rabiot have been boosted by uncertainty over his future.
Chelsea and Manchester United are also said to be keen on the France midfielder, who had been tipped to join Barcelona from Paris St-Germain this summer.
That move is apparently in doubt, with Rabiot again being linked with a potential move to the Premier League.
