Chelsea are seriously considering making Manchester United an offer for Anthony Martial, West London Sport reports.
There has been uncertainty over Martial’s future at Old Trafford under United boss Jose Mourinho for some time.
And Chelsea are strongly interested in the French forward, who is under contract until 2020 but has rejected an extended deal.
He was out of favour at times earlier in the season but has recently been in fine goalscoring form, scoring in each of his last five Premier League appearances.
Martial’s six goals in that five-game run have underlined his quality and it seems that Chelsea are keen to take him to Stamford Bridge.
West London Sport also reports that Chelsea are ready to let Callum Hudson-Odoi leave on loan in January.
It could see the 18-year-old join another Premier League club, although it would be one in the bottom half of the table rather than a direct rival.
Hudson-Odoi has made seven senior appearances for the Blues and impressed hugely prior to Maurizio Sarri taking over as boss during the summer.
He also caught the eye during pre-season but has not made a league appearance under Sarri, with his only two first-team appearances this term coming as a substitute in Europa League matches against BATE Borisov.
