Unai Emery is insisting English is spoken in the Arsenal dressing room even though he himself is struggling with aspects of the language, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Mirror say Gunners boss Emery is happy for players to speak in their native language during one-on-one conversations but not in general.
Emery is refusing to use an interpreter to help him communicate and is said to have set himself a target of being fluent in English by Christmas.
Meanwhile, The Sun claim Arsenal were close to agreeing a new contract with Aaron Ramsey but that the deal is being held up by uncertainty over the future of chief executive Ivan Gazidis.
Manchester United are reportedly refusing to sell Anthony Martial because half of any profit they would make is due to go to his former club Monaco.
The Sun say Tottenham and Chelsea are monitoring Martial’s situation at Old Trafford but that United chief Ed Woodward wants to keep him.
United signed Martial from Monaco in a deal worth £44.5m, potentially rising to just under £60m.
A clause entitling Monaco to 50% of any profit made on him therefore means United would have to sell for £100m to make just £30m on the Frenchman.
The Sun also say Woodward will not sanction a sale to a Premier League rival and does not see any value in allowing Martial to move to a club on the Continent.
West Ham midfielder Jack Wilshere will have tests on Tuesday to assess the extent of an ankle injury, the Daily Mail reports.
Fulham want Ryan Sessegnon and goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli to sign new contracts, The Sun say.
And the Daily Telegraph reports that Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez has no regrets about selling Aleksandar Mitrovic to Fulham.
Benitez said: “Each player has his own environment and they can do well in one team and maybe not as well in the other one.
“We had to make a decision in terms of what we needed and we knew what we needed. It doesn’t change my decision.”
