Nedum Onuoha and Jack Robinson are set to try to secure moves away from QPR, who are releasing Jamie Mackie and James Perch.
Rangers have announced they will say goodbye to Mackie, Perch and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas when their contracts expire this summer.
The club also announced that there are ongoing discussions with Onuoha and Robinson, whose contracts are also ending soon.
But West London Sport reports that Onuoha is keen to return north and Robinson believes he can secure a move to the Premier League.
Onuoha has been a mainstay of the R’s defence since his move from Manchester City in 2012 and is club captain at Loftus Road.
Robinson, meanwhile, has recovered from a serious knee injury which troubled him for the best part of two years and has been excellent for Rangers this season.
Primarily a left-back, Robinson has been deployed as a central defender for much of the campaign and has impressed for Ian Holloway’s side.
Mackie is a popular figure at Loftus Road, where he is in his second spell. His first included a Championship-winning campaign under Neil Warnock.
Mackie has been hampered by injuries this season, as has Perch, who suffered a broken kneecap in August.
