Chelsea boss Antonio Conte says there can be no doubt that youngsters Ethan Ampadu and Callum Hudson-Odoi both have “a brilliant future” ahead of them.
Both Blues teenagers have impressed for the first team when given opportunities this season.
And Conte is expected to use them again in Friday’s game against Hull City in the FA Cup fifth round.
Speaking at a press conference on Thursday afternoon, Conte said: “In the past, in the Carabao Cup and also the FA Cup, I gave them the chance to play.
“We are talking about two of the best players of our academy in this case.
“With Ampadu it is not difficult to predict a brilliant future for this player and it is the same for Odoi.”
Defender Trevoh Chalobah – the 18-year-old brother of former Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel – has also been called into the squad for Friday’s game.
So too have fellow academy products Dujon Sterling and Kyle Scott.
“We have Sterling, there is Chalobah’s brother and Scott. They are coming with us for the game tomorrow,” Conte said.
“I think Chelsea’s future is very brilliant to have these young players.”
Conte added that David Luiz, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Ross Barkley are unavailable.
