Paper-round-up: Wenger to hold talks with Arsenal duo, Sun say

The Sun say Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is to hold talks with Alexis Sanchez and Hector Bellerin this week to discuss their futures.

The newspaper describes them as “crisis talks” amid reports that both Gunners players could be on their way out of the Emirates Stadium.

Sanchez’s contract expires next year and he has not agreed a new deal, prompting reports that he could be sold this summer. Manchester City have been linked with the Chilean.

The Sun suggest that Sanchez could yet join a rival Premier League club, despite Wenger insisting that will not happen.

Bellerin is under contract until 2023 but there have nevertheless been reports that Barcelona are confident of signing him.

Meanwhile, West Ham are in talks with Bayer Leverkusen’s former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez over a £13m move, according to the Daily Mirror.

And, again according to the Mirror, Diego Costa is refusing to be forced out of Chelsea and this is hampering the club’s efforts to re-sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton.

It is claimed that Blues striker Costa has rejected a move to China and will only leave to rejoin his former club Atletico Madrid, who are under a transfer ban until January.

The Mirror say Costa is determined to only leave Chelsea on his terms and that he and boss Antonio Conte are involved in an “all-out war”.

The club are reportedly keen to sell Costa and bring former Chelsea striker Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge.
