Paper round-up: United reportedly reluctant to sell Bailly

Tottenham and Arsenal continue to be linked with Manchester United defender Eric Bailly.

He has fallen out of favour under boss Jose Mourinho at United and both north London clubs have recently been linked with the Ivory Coast international by the Daily Express.

The newspaper, picking up on a story by ESPN, now suggest that Bailly is considering his options and could seek a transfer in January but that United are reluctant to sell unless he asks for a move.

Meanwhile, The Daily Mirror say West Ham are interested in Chelsea defender Gary Cahill.

The Mirror also say Atletico Madrid have joined the likes of AC Milan in targeting Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas.

The Sun claim Chelsea “will blow Serie A’s giants out of the water” by tabling a £20m bid for Brescia’s teenage midfielder Sandro Tonali, who is apparently wanted by the likes of Juventus, AC Milan and Inter.

And Slavisa Jokanovic is under pressure at Fulham following recent poor results, the Mirror say.

The Whites, thrashed 5-1 at home by Arsenal, have conceded 21 Premier League goals since Jokanovic led them to the top flight.

The Mirror declare that “pressure is growing” on Jokanovic after a summer of big spending and that there are concerns within the club that his brand of football is too open.
