Liverpool could try to pip Arsenal to the signing of Bordeaux forward Malcom, reports claim.

The Sun are among the newspapers to have picked up on comments made by Bordeaux boss Jocelyn Gourvennec.

He is quoted as saying: “I can’t deny that he’s being followed by a lot of people. If Liverpool want you to work for them tomorrow, you’d go.”

It has also been claimed that Liverpool could try to beat Tottenham to the signing of highly-rated Stevenage defender Ben Wilmot.

Reports suggested that the 18-year-old had agreed a move to Spurs, but that is not the case.

The Independent say Liverpool have also been tracking Wilmot could now make a move for him.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror say Henrikh Mkhitaryan wants a pay rise in order to join Arsenal from Manchester United in a swap deal involving Alexis Sanchez.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang agreed personal terms with Arsenal ahead of a proposed move from Borussia Dortmund, the Mirror say.

The Sun say Jack Wilshere must pass a full medical and accept a 20% pay cut in order to get a new contract at Arsenal.

And Chelsea are willing to pay West Ham £20m for Andy Carroll, according to the Daily Telegraph.

It comes after reports the Hammers are unwilling to let striker Carroll leave on loan.
