West Ham manager David Moyes will try to sign Watford striker Troy Deeney if he fails to get Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge, The Sun claim.

The Hammers are reportedly keen to sign Sturridge on loan ahead of the transfer deadline, particularly in light of injuries to Andy Carroll, Marko Arnuatovic and Diafra Sakho.

The Sun say Sturridge is available on loan but with an obligation to pay £25m to sign him permanently in the summer and that Deeney has been identified as a possible alternative.

West Brom, Newcastle, Stoke and Brighton are also said to be keen on Deeney, who has three years left on his contract at Vicarage Road.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid continue to be linked with Harry Kane and Eden Hazard.

The Daily Mail claim Real are looking to spend a total of £500m this summer on Tottenham’s Kane, Chelsea’s Hazard and Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.

But the Mail, which has repeatedly touted Kane for a possible move to Real, also say there are “genuine doubts” at the Spanish club that they will be able to lure the England captain away.

According to the Mail, Real believe Kane’s relationship with Spurs and the prospect of playing at the club’s new stadium might put him out of reach.

The Mail also say Real want to appoint Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino and have made an approach.

Arsenal have offered West Brom £10m plus Mathieu Debuchy for Jonny Evans, the Daily Star say.

The Gunners are said to be keen to agree a deal for the former Manchester United defender ahead of Wednesday’s deadline.

The Sun, meanwhile, reckon Arsenal have been told they will need to pay more than £25m in order for Albion to sell.

And Celtic are close to signing Charly Musonda on loan from Chelsea for 18 months, the Mail say.
