Arsenal are said to be favourites to sign Steven N’Zonzi from Sevilla after Everton boss Sam Allardyce suggested he is prioritising other targets.

West Ham have also been linked with N’Zonzi, who previously played under Allardyce at Blackburn.

The Daily Star Sunday reckon Arsenal are now likely to sign the midfielder because Allardyce said: “My position is still to strengthen in more appropriate areas like a front man and full-back.”

The Daily Star Sunday also claim Real Madrid will offer former Tottenham star Gareth Bale to Spurs a £150m player-plus-cash deal for Harry Kane.

Tottenham will look to beat Chelsea to the signing of Everton’s Ross Barkley, according to the Sunday Mirror.

And Arsenal are ready to make Chelsea an offer for David Luiz, the Sunday Express say, while Barcelona are interested in Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen, the Sunday Mirror claim.

Meanwhile, West Ham star Manuel Lanzini is Liverpool’s first choice to replace Philippe Coutinho at Anfield, The Sun on Sunday claim.

It comes amid reports that Barcelona are planning a big-money move for Coutinho during the January transfer window.

The Sun on Sunday say Liverpool will get £115m for the Brazilian and that Lanzini could move to Merseyside in his place.

The Sun on Sunday also say Swansea want £40m for defender Alfie Mawson, who is reportedly wanted by the Hammers.

The Sunday Mirror say the Hammers are hoping to agree an exchange for Mawson, with former Swans striker Andre Ayew returning to the Welsh club as part of the deal.
