Paper round-up: AC Milan tipped to target Wilshere

AC Milan are set to make a move for Jack Wilshere, the Sunday Express claim.

It comes amid continued speculation over the Arsenal midfielder and reports he is reluctant to sign a new deal he has been offered by the club. His current contract expires this summer.

The Sunday Express claim Milan want to sign him after being impressed with his performance against them in the Europa League.

Juventus and Sampdoria are also said to be interested in the England midfielder.

There also continues to be speculation over the future of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

The Sun on Sunday say Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri would be willing to take over at the Emirates Stadium if Wenger leaves at the end of the season.

Allegri, who is also said to be on Chelsea’s radar, is reportedly learning English because he wants to manage in the Premier League.

The Mail on Sunday say Wenger’s future will be decided by a sub-committee of Arsenal executives which will include stats expert Jaeson Rosenfeld as well as head of football relations Raul Sanllehi, head of recruitment Sven Mislinat and chief executive Ivan Gazidis.

Germany boss Joachim Low is their preferred choice to take over from Wenger, the Mail say.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are ready to let striker Christian Benteke move to China this summer for £20m, according to The Sun on Sunday.

And in an interview with the Sunday Times, Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen insists the club has the right mentality to win trophies.
