Paper round-up: Palace linked with Antonio

Crystal Palace are considering a move for West Ham’s Michail Antonio, according to the Daily Telegraph.

West Ham will listen to offers for Antonio, who could be on his way out of the London Stadium as new boss Manuel Pellegrini looks to revamp the Hammers’ squad.

And the Telegraph say Palace are considering him as a replacement for Andros Townsend, who looks set to rejoin Newcastle.

Meanwhile, The Sun say West Ham have held talks with former Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure but are reluctant to offer him a contract.

Toure, who played under Pellegrini at City, recently accused the Chilean’s successor Pep Guardiola of having a problem with African players.

The Sun quotes a Hammers source as saying: “Manuel Pellegrini might like him but Toure is perceived as by some others as having too much baggage.

“There are worries he might actually disrupt the dressing room and there is also little time for his agent.

“The comments about Guardiola have made them think twice, and they also wonder if he still has it in his legs.

“It would take a lot of convincing from the new manager, who is currently focused on a lot of other things.”

And the Daily Mail reports that West Ham have been granted a work permit for Felipe Anderson ahead of a £40m deal to sign the Brazilian midfielder from Lazio.
