Crystal Palace are close to completing the signing of Tottenham’s Kevin Wimmer, according to The Sun.

Palace are set to buy the Austrian centre-back, who has also been linked with West Brom and Stoke, for £15m, The Sun say.

Wimmer is said to have opted for a move to Selhurst Park after being told that West Brom boss Tony Pulis could play him at left-back.

Meanwhile, the Daily Telegraph continue to suggest that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could join Chelsea from Arsenal.

The newspaper reported on Thursday that the England international would meet with Arsene Wenger and that he intended to reject a new contract, possibly paving the way for a move to west London.

Gunners Wenger reiterated on Thursday morning that he wanted Oxlade-Chamberlain to stay at the Emirates Stadium and sign a new deal.

And the Telegraph say Oxlade-Chamberlain, whose current contract expires next year, was offered £180,000 a week to stay and that Arsenal fear he will reject the offer.

The Telegraph again say that Chelsea have launched a £35m bid and that the club are increasingly confident they will sign him.

The Daily Mirror run a similar story, declaring that Wenger has made a final offer of £180,000 a week, but that Oxlade-Chamberlain is likely to turn it down.

The Mirror say that Arsenal would then look to sell him rather than lose him for no fee next summer and that Chelsea and in pole position but Liverpool are also interested.

The Mirror also say Arsenal are likely to send Jack Wilshere out on loan again.
