Atletico Madrid have contacted Mesut Ozil to offer him a potential return to Spain in January, The Sun claim.

It comes amid continued speculation over the futures of Alexis Sanchez and former Real Madrid star Ozil, whose Arsenal contracts expire in the summer.

The Sun say Arsenal are desperate to sell Ozil rather than risk losing him for no fee at the end of the season.

Ozil has been linked with several clubs in recent months, including Manchester United. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has insisted he is confident the German will stay.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are interested in Watford forward Richarlison, the Daily Mirror say.

The 20-year-old Brazilian has impressed for the Hornets since being signed from Fluminense during the summer and has scored four goals in 11 league games.

The Mirror say Spurs are closely monitoring Richarlison ahead of a possible move and have sent scouts to Watford games to watch him.

He signed a five-year contract when he moved to Vicarage Road, prior to which he was linked with several Premier League clubs – including Tottenham and Chelsea.

And the Daily Star claim QPR plan to begin contract talks with skipper Nedum Onuoha in January.

Defender Onuoha is one of a number of Rangers players whose current deals are up in the summer.
