Divock Origi’s father has suggested that the Liverpool forward could join Tottenham.

Origi, 22, moved to Anfield from French side Lille for £10m in 2014 but has failed to make an impact at the Merseyside club and has fallen down the pecking order under Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.

The Belgium international has not started a game for Klopp’s side so far this season and he has been tipped to move on before this week’s transfer deadline.

Origi has been linked with a number of clubs in recent weeks, including Tottenham.

And the Express reports that his father Mike has suggested to Belgian media that joining Spurs could be an option for his son.

He also says clubs in France and Germany are interested in him as well, and that the player needs to leave Liverpool if he is to get regular first-team football.

He is quoted as saying “Divock has to leave Liverpool to get more playing time. Tottenham is a possibility, but there is also interest from France and Germany.”

Meanwhile, Kevin Wimmer has reportedly passed a medical ahead of an expected move to Stoke City.

West Bromwich Albion were also interested in signing the Tottenham defender and Crystal Palace were linked with him last week.
