Tottenham among clubs linked with Dutch youngster

Tottenham are among Premier League clubs interested in Club Brugge winger Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld, according to the Daily Mail.

Liverpool and Everton are also said to be keen on the Netherlands international, who has also been linked with AC Milan.

The 21-year-old is currently out with an ankle injury but Dutch media reports suggest he could nevertheless move to England during this month’s transfer window.

Meanwhile, the Daily Star claim Spurs are weighing up a loan move for Barcelona’s Malcom amid fears that Harry Kane could face a spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

Spurs were interested in Malcom prior to his move to Barca and have been linked with him since his failure to impress there.

Tottenham must wait for swelling to go down on Kane’s ankle before being able to find out the full extent of the problem.

Kane suffered the injury in the final stages of Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester United and will be scanned once the injury has settled down.

It is the third successive season that he has sustained an ankle injury, the most recent one keeping him out for a fortnight last March.

The England captain was injured after being caught in the middle of Phil Jones and Victor Lindelof as Spurs chased an equaliser against United.

He received treatment after the full-time whistle before walking off the Wembley pitch extremely gingerly.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino admitted after the game that he was “worried” about the injury.
