Ancelotti insists Allan is staying at Napoli

Tottenham target Allan will not be moving during this month’s transfer window, according to Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti.

The midfielder’s performances for the Naples side this season have attracted interest from a number of clubs.

He has been on Spurs’ radar and has also been linked with Manchester City.

However, Sky Sports report that ex-Chelsea boss Ancelotti has insisted that the player is not for sale.

Ancelotti has been quoted as saying: “They have nothing, Allan is our player. We don’t need to discuss anything with the president, because there are no big moves on the horizon.

“I hope the transfer window closes soon so we can all focus on our football.

“I have never been concerned about losing Allan, because he had a fantastic first half of the season and we hope he’ll do even better for us going forward.”

Meanwhile, Spurs face an anxious wait to discover the extent of an ankle injury Harry Kane suffered during the defeat against Manchester United.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino admitted he was “worried” about the injury after the match at Wembley, where United won 1-0.

Spurs must wait for the swelling around the affected area to ease before Kane undergoes a scan.
