Paper round-up: Tottenham and Arsenal both eyeing Newcastle star

Tottenham and Arsenal both want Newcastle defender Fabian Schar, the Sunday Mirror say.

The Swiss 27-year-old has been in excellent form, playing a key role in the Magpies’ recent upturn.

And it is claimed that both north London clubs are eyeing him ahead of a possible summer move.

Meanwhile, The Sun on Sunday say Arsenal want Ajax’s Argentine defender Nicolas Tagliaficoare and are ready to compete with Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid for his signing.

Tottenham want Fiorentina’s Italy international winger Federico Chiesa but he would cost £70m, again according to The Sun on Sunday.

Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi is reportedly being considered for an England Under-21 call-up – at the age of just 18 years and four months.

The Mail on Sunday say Hudson-Odoi, who was part of the England Under-17s World Cup-winning team in 2017, could be moved up to the Under-21s after impressing for Chelsea and attracting interest from Bayern Munich.

And the Scottish Sun say Celtic boss Neil Lennon wants to sign Tomas Kalas this summer.

The Czech defender is currently on loan from Chelsea at Bristol City and is also said to have been watched by Glasgow Rangers.
