France forward touted for possible Tottenham move

Atletico Madrid striker Kevin Gameiro has been touted for a possible move to Tottenham.

Atletico are reportedly willing to sell the France international in the summer and the Daily Mirror claim Spurs could therefore be interested in signing him.

The La Liga outfit are reported to have sounded out a number of clubs, including Spurs, who are said to be looking to bring in competition for star striker Harry Kane.

Gameiro, 29, joined Atletico for a reported £35m last summer but has so far been unable to establish himself as a first-team regular, prompting speculation that he might leave the club at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, The Sun have picked up reports in Italy that Chelsea scouts have watched Atalanta right-back Andrea Conti.

It follows speculation linking the 22-year-old with a potential move to Stamford Bridge.

Gazzetta dello Sport suggested that Blues scouts watched a game against Crotone to check on Conti rather than his team-mate Franck Kessie, who has been touted for a move to Chelsea.

Conti would be available for £12.8m, it is claimed.

A number of Monday’s newspapers have also picked up on a Sunday Times story suggesting that Chelsea have opened talks over a possible move for Monaco’s Portugal international midfielder Bernardo Silva.
