Paper round-up: Tottenham ready to break transfer record to sign duo

Tottenham are prepared to break their transfer record twice this summer in order to sign Giovani lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele, the Daily Mirror say.

Real Betis and Argentina playmaker Lo Celso (pictured) has been linked with a move to north London, with Spurs said to be trying to tie up a deal for the 23-year-old.

So too has Lyon’s 22-year-old France midfielder Ndombele, who is reportedly wanted by a number of Europe’s top clubs.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are closing in on the signing of German goalkeeper Markus Schubert from Dynamo Dresden, The Independent reports.

The Daily Mail say Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Arsenal’s veteran defender Laurent Koscielny.

Scotland winger Ryan Fraser, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal, has suggested that he is likely to stay at Bournemouth, the Mirror reports.

“The likelihood is I will be at Bournemouth for another year. What will happen, will happen,” Fraser said.

The Times reports that Chelsea assistant boss Gianfranco Zola has not been offered a new deal and fears for his future at Stamford Bridge.

The Daily Star say Chelsea will refuse to sell central defender Kurt Zouma to Everton this summer because of the prospect of a transfer ban hanging over the club.

And Fulham youngster Cody Drameh, 17, is set to join Eintracht Frankfurt, the Mirror reports.
