Paper round-up: Tottenham eyeing Uruguay star after West Ham and Liverpool cool interest

Tottenham are interested in Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez, the Daily Star claim.

The Uruguay international was previously targeted by West Ham, who had been tipped to make another move for him this summer.

The Star say Spurs want to bring him in as cover for Harry Kane but that West Ham and Liverpool – who were also linked with him – have cooled their interest.

Meanwhile, a number of newspapers report that Kane is likely to be fit for the Champions League final.

The Daily Mirror reports that Fernando Llorente will be leaving Spurs as the club have not taken up an option to extend his contract – a clause apparently needed to be triggered by Saturday.

The Sun say Arsenal have been joined by Liverpool in a race to sign Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser, while the Daily Star say the Gunners have made an offer to sign Valencia’s Brazilian goalkeeper Norberto Murar.

Arsenal players will land bonuses of up to £500,000 if they beat Chelsea in the Europa League final, the Daily Mail reports.

The Independent say Chelsea plan to offer youngster Reece James a new long-term contract.

And The Sun say Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is wanted by Juventus.
