Paper round-up: Tottenham among clubs considering move for Germany star

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is considering a move for Bayer Leverkusen star Julian Brandt, according to the Daily Mail.

The Germany international midfielder is understood to have a £21.5m release clause in his contract and has been linked with several clubs.

The Mail say Spurs are among the clubs monitoring his situation and could take him to north London.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are eyeing a £50m move for Crystal Palace full-backs Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Patrick Van Aanholt, The Sun say.

Left-back Van Aanholt has been a consistent performer for the Eagles, while right-back Wan-Bissaka has been linked with a number of top clubs.

The Sun reckon United believe a deal can be done for both players to move to Old Trafford this summer.

The Mail say Wilfried Zaha has told Palace he wants to leave Selhurst Park in order to play in the Champions League.

British-Armenian Arsenal fans have been denied visas for the Europa League final, The Times reports.

Frank Lampard and Watford boss Javi Gracia have again been linked with Chelsea amid continued speculation over Maurizio Sarri’s future.

The Daily Express say Sarri fears could be sacked even if Chelsea win the Europa League.

The newspaper claim Gracia “is under serious consideration” after “impressing the Chelsea board” this season.

The Sun and the Daily Star both pick up reports in Sarri’s native Italy claiming that former Blues star Lampard, who has just led Derby County to the Championship play-off final, has been chosen to take over at Stamford Bridge this summer.

The Daily Telegraph say a decision on Sarri’s future as head coach will not be made until after the Europa League final against Arsenal on 29 May.

The Mail reports that Chelsea plan to send Gonzalo Higuain back to Juventus rather than buy the striker or take him on loan again.

And Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham is wanted by German club RB Leipzig, according to The Sun.
