Paper round-up: Kane among players unhappy at Spurs

Harry Kane is among players unhappy at Tottenham as their troubled start to the season continues, according to the Daily Mail.

An article in the newspaper states that “there is unease among the players about the direction of the team and a feeling the squad is reaching the end of its cycle.”

There has been speculation over the future of several Spurs players as well as reports that manager Mauricio Pochettino is unsettled.

And the Mail suggest England captain Kane could look to move on if the club do not starting winning trophies.

Meanwhile, The Sun have picked up on reports that Tottenham are showing an interest in Fiorentina winger Riccardo Sottil.

Spurs scouts are said to have watched the Italy Under-21 international ahead of a possible move.

And the Daily Telegraph reports that Eric Dier is set to make his first appearance of the season for Spurs in their Carabao Cup tie against Colchester United, with Dele Alli also pushing for a recall.

Pochettino said: “It has been difficult [for Dier]. Of course it is tough for him.

“He has to wait through training and then of course he has the opportunity. He has to try to fight for his place.”
