England ratings: How the London contingent fared against Kosovo

England stamped their authority on the group by beating Kosovo 5-3 in an action-packed Euro 2020 qualifier at St Mary’s. Here’s how we rated each of the London contingent.

Declan Rice: 6
Some uncertain moments in the first half but the West Ham man generally played well in the holding midfield role, although he did give the ball away in the build up to Kosovo’s second goal.

Ross Barkley: 7
Not a great pass to Michael Keane in the build-up to Kosovo going ahead in the opening minute. Overall though it was a tidy display, the highlight of which was a lovely run which culminated in him winning a penalty. He also supplied the corner that led to England’s equaliser.

Harry Kane: 7
A rare missed penalty but also a not so rare England goal to add to his collection. The Tottenham striker linked play well and pressured defenders. Served up a peach of a pass to Raheem Sterling in the second half.

Mason Mount: 6
On as a late substitute for Chelsea team-mate Barkley, youngster Mount immediately showed his class by leading an England counter-attack.
