Brighton v Tottenham: Alderweireld plays, no Alli, Albion make two changes

Toby Alderweireld returns to the Tottenham side for the game at the Amex Stadium.

The defender has not been involved in any of the last three matchday squads and has not played in the Premier League since October amid speculation over his Spurs future.

Dele Alli has been left out ahead of this weekend’s FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United.

Harry Kane plays, though, despite speculation that Fernando Lloris might lead the Spurs attack.

As well as Alli, Davinson Sanchez, Kieran Trippier, Erik Lamela, Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele drop out of the starting line-up.

Son Heung-min, Victor Wanyama, Moussa Sissoko, Serge Aurier and Lucas Moura return to the side along with Alderweireld.

Brighton, meanwhile, make two changes, with Bruno and Anthony Knockaert coming in for Ezequiel Schelotto and Jürgen Locadia.

Brighton: Ryan, Bruno, Duffy, Dunk, Bong, Knockaert, Kayal, Stephens, Izquierdo, Gross, Murray.
Subs: Krul,Schelotto, Goldson, March, Ulloa, Locadia, Baldock.

Tottenham: Lloris, Aurier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies, Wanyama, Sissoko, Eriksen, Lucas, Son, Kane.
Subs: Vorm, Trippier, Foyth, Dier, Dembele, Lamela, Llorente.
